INDY HAS BEST AIRPORT IN AMERICA

Aug 15, 2016 - The Indianapolis International Airport has received
the prestigious "Best Airport in North America" from the Airports
Council  International for the 5th time in the last 6 years.

"Indianapolis International Airport is at the forefront of airports
worldwide that are placing the passenger experience first," said
Director General Angela Gittens. "IND has worked very hard and
very smart to continually deliver on these expectations year after
year. And we now know from our research that good customer
service is good for an airport’s bottom line."

The designation is determined by the ASQ Survey, which has more
than 320 airports in 80 countries participating. It covers 34 key
service areas in eight categories, including check-in, security,
airport facilities, food and beverage and retail, among others.

Ranked: The Best Airports In America,
According To J.D. Power

Sept 21, 2022

J.D. Power has just released its 17th annual list of the best and worst
airports in North America. The group’s Airport Satisfaction Study
ranked the airports in three categories—Mega, Large and Medium—
based on six factors including terminal facilities, airport
arrival/departure, baggage claim, security check, check-in/baggage
check and food/beverage/retail. The study also looked at the state of
passenger satisfaction today.

Coming in at the top of the Medium airport list: Indianapolis
International Airport (IND), which has ranked near the top for three of
the last four years (during Covid, J.D. Power didn’t declare a Medium
category winner). “IND is one of the best-designed terminals in the
U.S. (New Orleans MSY is another),” says Taylor. “On top of its easy
access, its ability to handle passenger traffic flow has helped it stay
on top. IND really stepped up its food/beverage/retail services
coming out of Covid as well.”
