If you are arriving in an RV and/or camping,
you may wish to park in one of the fields just
west of the track, such as

The 5-acre
American Legion Post 500 field
(1926 Georgetown Rd, (317) 244-9625

Also across the street from the speedway is
the
Wilcox Mobil Home Park
1826 Georgetown Rd). They offer bathroom
facilites and showers, hookups for RV's and
cars and tent campers are welcome too. Call
(317) 248-1311 for information on rates.

Most of the camping area around the
Speedway is owned by the Speedway. You can
buy camping/parking passes from them in
advance for RV's, cars and tents.
Speedway Reserved Parking/Camping page

In 2006, I noticed some entrepreneur
brought in large shower facility on wheels. I
believe it cost $5 to start the shower, then
a $1 every minute. Its nice for the tent
campers.

RV's are not allowed in the infield of the
Speedway unless you wish to purchase a
special permit from the track for $4000.
This is intended for race teams and drivers.

People will show up early to get a good spot
across the street from the track where a
concentration of action is. They will also try
to find a nice spot under a shade tree. When
it comes to showers, you're on your own,
though you may be able to find some
porto-potties.

Also, next to the Speedway's reserved Lot 1,
is the speedway's HUGE "coke lot". While you
can reserve space there, you can just show up
and pay at the entrance. Sometimes no one is
even around to charge you. The gates open on
Thurs morning at 7am first come first serve."

Also, a reader wrote in about an area
southeast of the track:
"Great race parking outside of track
between 2nd and 3rd turns at Speedway
Industrial Park, 4400 W 10th Street,
located between 10th and 16th street off of
Polko St. Over 30 acres with tent and RV
camping available. Raceday parking only $10
for cars."
