Car launches are always one of the most highly
anticipated days of any pre-season schedule, with fans
able to see what team liveries will be for the year ahead.

There is always an element of mystery, too, as to
whether or not the team will put its actual car on display,
or a new livery on a display model to look to hide any
innovations they have been working on over the course of
winter.

F1 CAR CHANGES FOR 2026:

CHASSIS & AERO
The chassis will be a little bit shorter and narrower and have a higher ride height.
Floors will be flatter with extended diffusers and openings which will result in a
10-15% reduction in downforce.
Both front and rear wings will be simpler with fewer elements.
An active aero system that allows both front and rear wings to open at any
angle while on track, allowing for faster straight-line speed.
The roll hoop will be strengthened.
The front impact structure will separate in two stages.

POWER
The power output from the 1.6-litre V6 Turbo engine is being cut, but the
power from the electric is being increased so that there is about a 50-50
power split between the two.
Although the heat recovery part of the Energy Recovery System is being
deleted, the ERS will now be able to recharge at twice the amount per lap
and can be controlled two ways -
Boost Mode, which works like IndyCar's
push-to-pass, and
Overtake Mode which can only be used when the car is
within 1-second of the car ahead - like how DRS worked.
The engine will now run on sustainable fuels.

TIRES
The tires will be narrower.
