DRIVER CHANGES FOR 2024
There were no driver changes from 2023.
TEAM NAME CHANGES:
The Sauber F1 team has been called Alfa Romeo F1 since 2019.
They will be rebranded to Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the 2024 season.
Kick.com is an online streaming platform.
(Sauber will become an Audi works team in 2026.)
The Aston Martin team will be called the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One
Team beginning in 2024, as Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco become the
sole title sponsor of the team.
AlphaTauri, formerly Toro Rosso before 2020, have changed their name to
Visa Cash App RB.
PRE-SEASON TEST
F1 teams were given 3 days of practice (Feb 21-23) in Bahrain a week before the
season kicked off there. The sessions ran from 10AM to 7PM which is half an hour
less than last year.
Fastest Drivers
Day 1 - Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
Day 2 - Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)
Day 3 - Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
