Grandstand A runs along the outside of the front straight on the south side of the track, toward Turn 1.

It has a view of the front straight, the pits and Turn 1.

History
Stand A dates back to the track's opening in 1909 as the first grandstand.
The current version was built in 1951; it was remodeled in 1989, 1999 and 2016,
when a new roof structure was added which is 17' taller than the previous one.
Stadium
seats were added to the penthouse level and elevators were installed.
There are two levels:

* STAND A is the lower level
* PENTHOUSE A is the upper level and has a roof.  It acts as a roof for most of the lower level.
