Dan Wheldon's Sons Racing Update
Sept 13 - Sebastian Wheldon, 17, finished 2nd in
the Formula Regional European Championship
(FREC) racing for MP Motorsport with 3 wins and 6
poles. He also finished 5th in the Formula Regional
Middle East Trophy series.
He raced in Europe last year too, driving for PREMA
across four junior formula series. He finished 3rd in
the Complete Italian F4 Championship with 6 wins
and 7 poles.
In 2024, Sebastian raced in America, finishing 3rd in
the USF Junior series.
He is the eldest son of 2-time Indy 500 winner Dan
Wheldon.
His younger brother, Oliver Wheldon, is racing in
the USF 2000 Championship. He races for VRD
Racing and won both races at Portland Int'l
Raceway. He is currently 5th in points - the highest
placed rookie.

Sebastian Wheldon Is Racing In Europe
9/13 - The new Madring Circuit in Madrid Spain debuted with a Formula 1 race.
It features the longest banked corner for the series. It will replace the Barcelona
Circuit for the F1 Spanish GP, which has hosted the race since 1991.
9/10 - IndyCar tested the new 2028 IR-28 chassis for the first time on an oval - the
2.5-mile Indy Motor Speedway. Alex Rossi put the car through its paces yesterday
and Alex Palou today. These same drivers tested the car on the IMS road course
last month.
