Teams will be required to run the Firestone alternate tires (green-colored sidewalls
made from the renewable guayule shrub) twice during each street race.  The tires
may be faster than the primary tires, but they wear quickly.
This will shake up strategy from last year when only one stint on the tires were required.

The format used in Practice 1 will be carried into Practice 2 this year - a 40-minute open
practice followed by two 12-minute sessions with half the field running in each.
May 5 - Beginning now, at road courses and street races, Push to Pass will be available
and allowed for use at all times once the car passes the alternate start-finish line following
the start and once the green flag has been displayed. Includes use on race restarts too.

About IndyCar Testing

* Each full-time IndyCar team receives two team test days each season.

* Teams fielding a rookie in at least 12 races also receive two rookie-only test days.
  Those Teams were A.J. Foyt, Dale Coyne and Rahall Letterman Lanigan Racing.
* Teams that compete full time in the Indy NXT junior series get an extra team test day.
