DRIVERS
A.J. Foyt Racing ran one full-time car in 2006, using two drivers -
Felipe Giaffone and Jeff Bucknum.
Giaffone began racing in the IRL in 2001. Joining Mo Nunn Racing in
2002, Giaffone had his best year with twelve Top 10 finishes including
winning Kentucky and finishing 3rd at Indy. But with no ride in 2005,
Foyt ran him in a 2nd car at the Indy 500 where he started 33rd and
finished 15th. Foyt's grandson Anthony left the team after 2005 so
Foyt hired Giaffone as his full-time driver for 2006. But after the 8th
round in Kansas, Giaffone left the team. Foyt then hired Jeff
Bucknum, a driver with very limited Indycar experience.
Foyt fielded a 2nd entry in the Indy 500 which was piloted by Larry Foyt.

Larry Foyt drove the No. 41 car in the Indy 500. It had the same livery as the No. 14 car.
