The rear-wheel tethers are stronger.
The steering arm has been redesigned to take more punishment without breaking.
A new padded section on the side of the cockpit cushion has been added for drivers head.
Indycar is giving teams more flexibility in choosing various small wings. (e.g. barge boards, wickers,
strakes, underwing sideboard)
The rear wing will be more adjustable for the Indy 500.
Racing in the Rain:
* IndyCar has introduced mandatory rain vanes along the top of the nose of the cars to direct water
away from the aeroscreen.
* The rear tail light has been enlarged.
