The track will be open to all cars from 3-6 p.m. and 8-11 p.m. ET both days.

INDYCAR has also added four hours of track time on Feb. 8 (3-7 p.m. ET)
for rookie drivers to complete their oval test assessments.

Friday - Combined Practice
Scott Dixon performed the first on-car tests
of a aeroscreen shield that might one day
be used on IndyCars to help protect drivers.
No times released as this was some kind of private team testing.
Note: Robert Wickens deserved to win this race.  With 2 laps
to go, he was leading.  He was punted into the wall during a
restart at the first turn by Alex Rossi.
Testing at Indianapolis in late March had to be postponed to April 30-May 2 due to weather.

Fans can watch testing for free from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from the Turn 2 viewing mounds, Museum
parking lot and South Terrace Grandstands.

Open IndyCar Test on IMS oval
Time: 10 a.m.-noon, 1-5 p.m.




TUESDAY, May 1
500 Rookie Orientation / Refresher Tests on IMS oval
10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Rookie Orientation

WEDNESDAY, May 2
Chevrolet and Honda Manufacturer Testing on IMS oval
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
