supplement the large parking in Turn 3.
You must buy tickets to park in the infield
for race day.

Jeff Gordon's Last Year In Cup?
Jan 24 - Jeff Gordan announced that this year may be
his last as a Nascar Sprint Cup driver.
Since 1993, Gordon has racked up 92 wins and four
championships (1995, 1997, 1998, 2001.
Jeff Gordon won the first Brickyard 400 in 1994.
He went on to win it five times - a record!
He has spent his entire Cup career driving #24 for
Hendricks Motorsports in which he is an equity owner.

Rolex 24 At Daytona
Jan 25 - Chip Ganassi Racing stole the show for a
sixth time (the team’s previous wins were in 2006,
07, 08, 11 & 13), its #02 car driven by IndyCar
drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan as well as
Americans Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray.
They bested the 53 car field over the course of the
race.
Their Riley DP Ford Ecoboost drove 740 laps/
2,634.4 miles in 24 hours to win by 1.3 seconds.
The reigning champion team, Action Express Racing,
which included Sebastien Bourdais, finished second.
Other IndyCar driver's competing in the premier
American endurance race included Graham Rahal,
Sage Karam, Charlie Kimball, Ryan Briscoe,
Simon Pagenaud, Jack Hawksworth and Ryan
Hunter-Reay (his 9th Rolex 24 at Daytona.)
Indy Lights driver Gabby Chavez drove the Delta
Wing with Katherine Legge, but retired on lap 42.
The car looked strong until then.
Rubens Barrichello and Giancarlo Fisichella both
competed for the 2nd time. Neither has managed to
finish the race.
Only 29 out of the 53 starters would be running by the
end of the race.
A Corvette won the GTLM class and a Viper won the
GTD class.



IndyCar Season Opening Race Cancelled
Jan 29 - Brazilian officials have cancelled the Indy
Car race that was supposed to take place in Brazillia
March 8th. No reasons have been given as of yet.
IndyCar last raced in Brazil in 2013 in Sao Paulo.
IndyCar fans will now have to wait till March 29th
when the series visits St. Petersburg Florida.
