Bull is looking better. Finally Daniel Ricciardo scored
points by finishing 4th. His performance has been
masterful so far at his new team, but he's had bad luck.
He finished 2nd at Australia, but was disqualified.  At
Malaysia he was doing well before losing a tire.  His
world champion teammate,
Sebastian Vettel finished
in 6th. At one point Vettel was told to move over and
let his Ricciardo by!  He did it too.

The Renaul-powered Williams team finished in 7th and
8th, followed finally be the two Ferraris.
The safety car was released following an accident
(see video) where
Pastor Maldonado hit Esteban
Gutiérrez
flipping him upside down.  Gutiérrez got
out of the car by himself and appeared uninjured.
Maldonado received a 10-second Stop & Go penalty
for it.

Interestingly, the singer for AC/DC, Brian Johnson,
conducted the post race interview with the drivers on
the podium.

IndyCar at Long Beach

Apr 13 - IndyCar started the race from a standing start.

Sebastian Bourdais slid into a barrier twice during the
race.

After the leaders pitted, with 20 some laps to go,
Josef
Newgarden
came out in front.  But within a few
corners, an anxious
Ryan Hunter-Reay plowed into
him while trying to pass which resulted in a bottle neck
that took out at least 5 cars, 3 of which were the
leaders.

On the restart Dixon had the lead and he bumped
wheels with
Justin Wilson sending him out of the
race.  Dixon had
Mike Conway on his ass with Will
Power
in third.

Graham Rahal spun and that brought out another
caution. Dixon held the lead but had to pit for fuel with
2 laps to go.

Conway drove his Fuzzy's Ed Carpenter car into
victory lane.  He was followed by Power,
Carlos
Munoz
and Juan Pablo Montoya.
