Aerial Views
When originally designing the Indianapolis speedway, an infield road course was planned.
However, no need for it was ever found until 1998 when Formula One decided to race at Indy.
The new roadcourse, to be completed in 2000, does not look nearly as ingenious as this 100 year old drawing.
