ABOUT THE TRACK & RACE:

In preparation for the return of the Formula One US Grand Prix in 2000, a road course was
added to the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A large portion of the course used
part of the existing oval track.

From 2008-2015, the MotoGP World Championship was hed at the track.
In 2015,  MotoAmerica also raced here as part of the support series for MotoGP.

MotoAmerica will bring motorcycle racing back to IMS in 2020 with all five of its classes
showcased in the Championship of Indy.

The road course is ~ 2.5 miles long and includes 14 turns.
