My friends drove into Indy last night from Michigan.  We left for the
track at 11:30 am.  We came up Holt Road, but the police had Olin Rd
blocked off, so we turned left and went and parked at Dotlich Crane.
The IndyCar practice ended before we could reach some seats.
We sat in Stand E, Box 3, Row R.  It was hot

some breeze.

Soon the Indy Light's Freedom 100 race

We saw a couple accidents in turn one.

4 caution periods slowed this short race.

Jerome drove his motorcycle up and met us
at our seats.
After the race ended, we grabbed
some food and headed over to the
concert area.

I ended up having to also buy a $7
rib-eye sandwich.

giant Transformer.

We hooked up with DR & Debbie and
Brian and Rich.
Tony Kanaan, Danica Patrick and
Hideki Mutoh addressed the crowd

I was too far from the stage to see well.  During a
break this guy came out and I thought it was Carrot
Top.  But once I got home and saw this zoomed in
photo, I realized it was the Geico caveman!
Some people gathered outside the catch
fence and watched the concert from a
viewing hill.
